Long Term training in Surgical Oncology ( IRCH AIIMS )

 

Introduction:

Department Of Surgical oncology was established in ESI PGIMSR Basaidarapur in February 2020 with the aim to provide a standard of care Cancer treatment to ESIC beneficiaries. It is also involved in the teaching of post-graduate programs like MS General Surgery.

 

Vision Statement

 

• To provide evidence-based high quality Compassionate Comprehensive care to patients with cancer.

• To train the surgeons in comprehensive Cancer Management.

• To increase awareness about Cancer in the general public.

 

Services Provided-

 

• OPD Services – Three days a week.            3^rd Floor MS Building.

• In Patient Services                                         Oncology Ward D1 Fourth Floor

• Procedure Room                                            4^th Floor D1 building

           2. Ultrasound-guided Chemoport placements  

           3. Ultrasound-guided PICC line  placements

           4. Palliative procedures- ascitic tap, pleural tap

• Cancer Surgeries

           2. Uro Gynecological cancers

           3. Soft tissue Sarcomas

           4. Gastrointestinal Cancers

           5. Breast cancers – Breast Conservation Surgeries, Complex Oncoplasty procedures

 

• Chemotherapy- The department runs a six bedded Day care center and six bedded indoor ward exclusively for Chemotherapy. All forms of neoadjuvant and first-line adjuvant chemotherapies for solid tumors are given.
