ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

ESIC Model Hospital, Basaidarapur is the flagship hospital of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, commissioned on 1" December 1971 with a bed strength of 150 and spread over an area of 31 acre. Over the years the hospital has been upgraded in terms of bed strength, infrastructure, clinical and diagnostic facilities, and presently it has 600 commissioned beds and about 150 observation/ Monitoring beds and provides tertiary level care along with many super specialties to more than five lakhs IPs and their families. It has now been sanctioned to be upgraded to 1000 Beds.

Since 2010, attached to the hospital is the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PGIMSR) providing post graduate degree courses in nine specialties & in one super specialty. The hospital also serves as a center for diagnosis & treatment of occupational disease cases of North Zone States-Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, and Uttarakhand (IOHER). Hospital is ISO 9001:2015 certified (Certificate No: 22EQFN19).

The main objective of the hospital is to provide quality care to its beneficiaries by providing holistic health i.e. preventive, curative, and rehabilitative as well as spiritual well-being. It also provides super specialty services in Nephrology, Cardiology, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Neurophysiology, and Reproductive Medicine & Surgery (IVF).

It is primarily a referral hospital and the patients are referred from 11 dispensaries and other ESI Hospitals in Delhi NCR - Rohini, Okhla, Jhilmil, Noida, Gurugram, Manesar & adjoining states. This hospital is meant for ESI beneficiaries, however, emergency services are extended to the general public also.

The Hospital has a well-compiled Disaster Management Manual, Infection Control Manual, Biomedical Waste Management Manual & Surakshit Matritva booklet.
