ESIC Model Hospital & PGIMSR, Basaidarapur, New Delhi- 15

ESIC Model Hospital, Basaidarapur is the flagship hospital of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, commissioned on 1" December 1971 with a bed strength of 150 and spread over an area of 31 acre. Over the years the hospital has been upgraded in terms of bed strength, infrastructure, clinical and diagnostic facilities, and presently it has 600 commissioned beds and about 150 observation/ Monitoring beds and provides tertiary level care along with many super specialties to more than five lakhs IPs and their families. It has now been sanctioned to be upgraded to 1000 Beds.

.24 hours Emergency Services are also available in this hospital.

The updated ESIC 2.0 reforms program has been implemented by the hospital in totality with additional activities undertaken as follows:

· Healthy food distribution to all in-patients.

· Complete implementation of the VIBGYOR system for changing bed sheets.

· Flower pots are put all around the hospital under the Horticulture initiative.

· RO water units installed for augmenting drinking water availability.

· On-line appointment facility to book prior appointments with doctors.

· Prompt Website updation.

· Feedback obtained from all indoor patients at the time of discharge.
